Michelle Cler
Title: Athletic Assistant

Certificate, Dental Assisting, Parkland College
Associate in Art, Parkland College
An avid sports fan with numerous softball awards under her belt, it’s easy to see why Mickey Cler has enjoyed working as Parkland Athletics department’s head administrative assistant since 2000. The Mesquite, Texas, native says she greatly appreciates Parkland’s free parking, friendly atmosphere (which suits her own shy but friendly nature), and hardworking student athletes.
Earning her associate’s degree in 2006 “so my mom could watch me graduate before she passed away with cancer” was an unforgettable and proud moment for Mickey, who would have liked to be a teacher were she not in her current profession. Totally in love with her granddaughers Emery and Elyse, you’ll likely find Mickey spending as much time as possible with them showing them the finer things in life (hugs, kisses, laughs) perhaps listening to 70's/80's rock and country music, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys or Chicago Cubs or taking in anything Kevin Kostner!
Her best advice to students is “Treat everyone how you would want to be treated"—sound advice for us all.
