Christine Ysf
Hometown: Indonesia
Major: Media
Interests: traveling, culture, and dancing
Active, hardworking, cheerful, and friendly, Parkland College international student Christine Ysf loves keeping busy!
When she’s not serving as a student senator, Christine is helping out as vice president of the German Club. Her major, Mass Communication, also involves her in other activities and clubs. Because of her friendly demeanor, she has many friends and puts people at ease as they get to know all about her.
Christine brings her busy lifestyle to the U.S. from her home country of Indonesia, where she worked as a news presenter, earned the title of Miss Tourism Sumatra, and served as a young World Indonesia ambassador. She likes dance, hang out with friends, and travel.
When she returns home to Indonesia, Christine plans to take master’s degree courses and pursue her dream career, tourism. Although she will miss Parkland and the Fine and Applied Arts department once she’s gone, Christine hopes to come back one day to visit. For now, however, she will “just try to give the best in this semester, learn, and be happy” as much as she can.
