If you want to ask somebody about sports, media broadcasting, and TV production, the correct place to go is to the Parkland Channel (PCTV), and the person to talk to is Chris Foster, PCTV’s program manager. He carries with him a deep appreciation for video production; he enjoys every step of the process to innovate and create stories with video. His hardworking attitude paid off in 2009 when, due to his video presentation, PCTV won in the Media category for the Arts Entertainment and Media (ACE) Award, given annually by 40 North/88 West.
Yet Chris is also an avid sports fan. In his free time, he especially likes to go and watch U of I sporting events. In fact, if he had any superpower, Chris would be a time traveler. Why? “It would be good if you go back and watch classic sporting events,” he said. Inspired by his mom “to be a better human being,” Chris says he truly enjoys working with Parkland’s staff, teachers, and students. You can find him every day in Room X138 or in the Parkland corridors doing shootings for his next video projects.
