Commercial Art

Mathematics and Music: Understanding How Brass Instruments Work
This French horn and trumpet-playing mathematician answers the question his piano-playing cousin raised when they were both children: “Why does Jim have only three keys to press when I have 88 to worry about?” All of the theory is illustrated musically and humorously, including a demonstration using a homemade French horn.
