The Department of Public Safety is a non-transporting Basic Life Support (BLS) service and proud member of the Provena Covenant EMS System.

When seconds count, officers rely on patrol vehicles stocked with medical supplies for mobile care and numerous supply stations throughout the campus for a rapid response.

The college has purchased several automated external defibrillators (AED) which have been placed throughout the campus and also in police patrol vehicles.

All patrol officers have been trained in the use of the AEDs and when necessary can deploy the units and administer the life saving techniques as prompted by the device.
