All Perkins Grant recipients must be enrolled in one of the career programs at Parkland College. These include all Associate of Applied Science degree and Certificate programs.

Eligible students include those who are academically disadvantaged, are economically disadvantaged, have a disability or are nontraditional students (male in a female-dominated program or vice versa). We estimate that there are at least 1000 students currently attending classes at Parkland who are eligible to receive some type of Perkins Grant assistance.
