Accommodation Requests and Eligibility
Students requesting accommodations or assistive devices from the office may do so by submitting proper documentation of their disability (such as official psychological, medical, or school reports) to Disability Services. Students with physical or psychological disabilities (as defined by law) should be eligible for one or more accommodations, including:
Information from the Office for Civil Rights (OCR)
U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights Students with Disabilities Preparing for Postsecondary Education: Know Your Rights and Responsibilities, Washington, D.C., 2007.
If you are a Parkland College student with a disability, we want all college-sponsored programs, services, and activities to be accessible to you. To ensure this, we've set up policies and procedures that comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. You can find these policies in our Parkland Policies and Procedures Manual.
