It wasn't the prize they had hoped for but the Cobra Volleyball team turned in a gutsy performance on Saturday as they knocked off Owens CC to take home 3rd place at the NJCAA D-2 Volleyball Tournament. The Cobras beat the Express 3-0, winning by the scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-18. The victory concludes the PC season at 45-8 and marks the third time in three years that the Cobras will come home with the 3rd place trophy.
Congrats to Coach Cliff Hastings and his staff on another amazing season. Special congratulations to the Cobra sophomores who guided PC to two Conference and Regional titles, two trips to Nationals where they finished 3rd and 9th. PC went 3-1 each year at Nationals with the two losses being 15-13 and 16-14 in the deciding 5th games.
The foursome of Shelby Geers, Dana Belcher, Megan Scharnett, and Jessica Galotta complied a two-year record of 86-16 and have left a lasting legacy for the program. You will truly be missed!
