Students at the Institute of Aviation at Parkland College will soon be able to advance their aviation training at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
On Feb. 3, Parkland College will sign an articulation agreement with Lewis University that will allow Parkland College Aviation graduates the opportunity to transfer into one of Lewis University's seven Aviation undergraduate programs to complete a bachelor's degree. These programs include aviation administration, aviation and aerospace technology, aviation maintenance management, air traffic control management, aviation flight management, transportation administration, and unmanned aircraft systems.
The signing ceremony will take place at the university.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to continue their studies and complement their flight training in other aviation fields," said Wendy Evans, program recruiter for the Institute of Aviation at Parkland College. "This agreement will no doubt set Parkland students up for continued and future successes in the aviation industry."
