Throughout October, Parkland College will be hosting events to support student, campus and community sustainability. Each week will feature a sustainability theme to explore in depth.

Oct 5–10: ZERO WASTEFREE Electronics Recycling
Saturday, Oct. 10, 8a–noon, M4 Parking Lot (enter on Duncan Road).

Oct 12–17: FOOD SECURITY Wesley Food Pantry at Parkland

Donate a nonperishable food item to the Sustainability Table in the Student Union.
Oct 19–24: BIOLOGICAL INTEGRITY"Ornithology" Art Gallery Exhibit and Presentations
Exhibit: Avian-inspired art will be on exhibit throughout the month of October in the Giertz Gallery at Parkland College. Hours: 10a–7p Mon-Thurs, and noon–2pm Sat.
Presentation: Meet Quasi, the eastern screech owl, on Tuesday, Oct 20, 1:15p, Giertz Gallery lounge. Hear the presentation, “Owls and Avian Adapations,” from Urbana Park District’s Anita Purves Nature Center.
