Cobras Summer Sports Camps Open to Area Youth

Grades 1-12 get tips from regional, national championship coaches, team members

Parkland College will host its Cobras Summer Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer Camps again this year for youth entering grades 1 through 12. Openings are limited. For camp registration information, call Parkland Athletics at 217/351-2226 or visit www.parkland.edu/athletics.
Cobras Summer Camps
Softball Camp
Cobras Advanced Skills Fast-Pitch Softball Camp for ages 12 through 18 will be held Tuesday, June 20 at the Dodds Athletic Field. Pitching, hitting, and defense will be emphasized. The Cobras have played in the NJCAA National Tournament eight times since 2002! Registration is $60 per participant; reservation forms are available at www.parkland.edu/athletics/softball. Volleyball Camp
Learn from the 2016 NJCAA National Champions! Cobras Volleyball Camp sessions at the Dodds Athletic Center (Parkland gym) will be held throughout the month of July for campers entering grades 2 through 9. Basketball Camp
Learn from the 2017 NJCAA Region 24 Champions! A Cobras Basketball clinic will be held for youth ages 8 to 14 June 5–9 at the Dodds Athletic Center (Parkland gym). Suitable for students of all skill levels, the camp will teach the fundamentals of basketball: ball handling, defense, passing, dribbling, footwork, and shooting. There will be individual and team play opportunities, competitions, and skills tests. Registration is $128 per participant. Soccer Camp
Learn from the 2016 NJCAA Region 24 Champions! A soccer camp for youth in grades 1 to 11 will meet June 12–15 at the Parkland College soccer practice field. Coach Mark Sikora and members of the Parkland College Men's Soccer team will assist students in practicing and learning the fundamentals to improve their soccer skills. The four-day camp will include training in dribbling, turning, touches, passing, shooting, and more. Camp meets from 9 to 11 a.m. for students in grades 1 to 6, and from 1 to 3 p.m. for students in grades 7 through 11.
