The Parkland Art Gallery proudly announces the 2013 Graphic Design Student Juried Exhibition award winners. A jury of professionals in animation and graphic design selected the year's best student work in graphic design, web design, and motion graphics. The work is on display through June 20 in the Parkland Art Gallery.
In conjunction with the exhibit, a faculty lecture will be held in the gallery at 10 a.m. June 19. Paul Young, Graphic Design program director, will present "Digital Media Design," which discusses the challenges and rewards of working in the world of digital media. This talk is free and open to the public.
The Graphic Design Student exhibit publicly acknowledges the accomplishments of these talented, dedicated, and hard-working students. A number of awards were presented during a reception honoring the participants on May 16 in the gallery lounge. Award winners are:

Parkland Art Gallery summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; the gallery will be closed May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. To find the Gallery when classes are in session, use the M parking lots, enter through any door, and follow the ramps uphill to the highest point, where the gallery is located. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
