The Parkland College Board of Trustees is accepting nominations to fill board member positions that expire this spring.
College officials announced today that starting Monday, September 17 at 9 a.m., anyone wishing to run for a position on the Parkland College Board of Trustees may pick up nominating petitions and related documents from Nancy Willamon in Room A118 at the Parkland campus, 2400 West Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois, during regular business hours.
Petitions may NOT be circulated prior to September 25, 2012.
The terms of incumbent trustees James L. Ayers and Thomas M. Bennett will expire in April 2013. Each successor trustee will serve for a full six-year term.
Nominating petitions and supporting documents must be filed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon or 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. prevailing time on any of the following dates: December 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, or 24, 2012. Said documents MUST be filed with the Office of the Board Secretary, Nancy Willamon, Room A118, Parkland College, 2400 West Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois.
The election will be held on April 9, 2013.
