Parkland Theatre Presents: "Wait Until Dark"

Thu, Feb 20, 2014 starting at 7:30 PM - Sun, Feb 23, 2014 starting at 3:00 PM

Enjoy this masterful thriller and Broadway hit

Don't miss Wait Until Dark, the most successful thriller of Dial M for Murder playwright Frederick Knott's career, running now through Feb. 23 at Parkland Theatre.

Three conmen are about to meet their match. They have traced the location of a mysterious doll they have been searching for to the Greenwich Village apartment of Sam and his blind wife, Susy. Through a cleverly constructed deception, the conmen convince Susy that the doll is evidence in a mysterious murder. She refuses to reveal its location, and with the help of a young neighbor, figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues, and Susy knows the only way to play fair is by her rules. Just how will this dark game end?

A Broadway hit and later a successful film with Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene.

J.W. Morrissette directs a cast of local community talent that features Cara Maurizi in the demanding role of Susy, as well as Justin Blackwell, David Dillman, Karen Hughes, Monty Joyce, David Kierski, Zackary Ross, and Alexx Valdez.

Wait Until Dark will be performed Feb. 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for students and seniors (55+), and $10 each for groups of 15 or more.
