Parkland College will host an interactive workshop in conjunction with the group FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture, as part of its Sexual Assault Awareness Month observance in April.
The interactive "Consent Workshop" will be held Monday, April 28, 6–9 p.m. in Room D244. Participants at the session will learn about enthusiastic consent. The workshop will be sponsored by Parkland in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Women’s Resources Center and the Rape Advocacy Counseling and Education Services agency.
FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture is a creative activist collaboration to upset the culture of rape and promote a culture of consent. FORCE is organized by artist-duo Hannah Brancato and Rebecca Nagle of Baltimore, Maryland.
Earlier in the day on April 28, Nagel and Brancato will be the featured speakers at a noon luncheon at the University of Illinois’ Women’s Resources Center, 703. S. Wright St., Champaign. For more information about FORCE, visit upsettingrapeculture.com
