Get information, take tours, more; college-bound students, counselors, parents welcome
Parkland College plans to help you discover how to "Make Your Dollars Stretch" during the Parkland College Spring Open House, scheduled for Friday, March 14 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the College Center.
High school students, counselors, and parents of college-bound students are especially encouraged to tour the campus, get questions answered from faculty and staff, and learn about Parkland's affordable programs and degrees. In a new format this year, breakout sessions will be held in Room L111 on various topics at the following times:
- 12:45 p.m.: Dual Credit Student to Parkland Freshman—What are the Steps?
- 1:15 p.m.: Financial Aid—The Inside Story
- 1:45 p.m.: Undecided About a College Major? Let us Help!
"If a student is undecided about what to do after high school, this is a really worthwhile event to attend,” said Mary Kay Smith, Parkland student services advisor. “Parkland College not only allows these students the freedom to explore different career paths but makes such exploration much more affordable than they would experience at a four-year institution without a set career path."
