Enjoy global music and cultures at Parkland College during the 16th annual International Cultures Fair on Wednesday, April 10 from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Flag Lounge.
The event is hosted by Parkland's International Students Association and the Alpha Psi Eta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, and it is open to the public.
This year's fair features mehndi (henna) tattooing; performances and presentations by Parkland College students; professional international music and dance artists; an international fashion show; global quizzes with prizes; and a buffet from local restaurants. The event also features information about our students' home countries, presented in interactive and entertaining formats.
More than 300 international students attend Parkland college, representing 41 countries. In addition to being a showcase for these students, the fair is a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders. Donations will be accepted at showcase tables throughout the Cultures Fair and at the lunch buffet ($6 per person). Come and show support for the international student community at Parkland College and enjoy fantastic cultural activities while supporting a great cause!
