A local freelance graphic designer and author will share her experiences and tips during Parkland College’s next “Meet the Pros” lecture March 12.
Gretchen Wieshuber is owner of Studio 2D, a Champaign firm she started in 1989 to serve smaller businesses and organizations that wanted professional design but could not afford a full-size agency. She is also the author of Graphic Design Home Office
(available on Amazon).
Her talk will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room C118 at the campus and is open to the public.
A freelance designer for more than 25 years, Wieshuber also counsels would-be entrepreneurs as a SCORE volunteer and occasionally teaches graphic design history and typography at Parkland. She has a BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In her lecture, Wieshuber will share her ups and downs in freelance work as well as offer tips on how to command the best projects and highest compensation throughout your career.
