Students interested in learning how to fly can visit DuPage Airport this month to meet Parkland College Institute of Aviation at the University of Illinois instructors and students.
The Institute of Aviation Open House is set for Saturday, April 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the DuPage Airport Flight Center, 1700 International Drive, West Chicago.
Free fun flights will be available to the first 10 high school students who register for a spot during the event. Open house visitors speak with flight instructors and students, to learn more about how to obtain an associate’s degree in aviation
or one of several pilot certifications through the Institute.
Parkland College assumed flight instruction from the University of Illinois Institute of Aviation in fall 2014, based on a three-year agreement with the university. Pilot training continues out of university-owned Willard Airport in Savoy.
Reserve a spot at this free event by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 217/244-8606.
