Parkland College will host a Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to help the hungry in its communities.
On Monday, January 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon, Parkland College will once again partner with the Wesley Food Pantry to hold a rice and bean repack. The repack will provide Wesley Food Pantry’s Parkland location with rice and beans for three to six months. The event will be held in Room M138 on the Parkland campus. The entrance to the pantry is near the M1 parking lot.

Members of the community are invited to join the college's students, employees, and their families in this event. Those interested in attending should contact Josh Clark at jclark@parkland.edu. Parkland's Service Learning Program will be accepting financial contributions to help purchase the rice and beans. Those who would like to donate should contact Brian Nudelman at bnudelman@parkland.edu.
