"Singing Tales of Life" Concert

Chorus, Chamber Singers to deliver famous songs on common life themes; free 

The Parkland Chorus and Parkland Chamber Singers will perform a variety of music history’s classic selections during their spring concert, “Singing Tales of Life,” Saturday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the Parkland Theatre.

The choral concert is free and open to the public.

Enjoy famous songs that represent such common life themes as love, trouble, broken dreams, inspiration, friendship, and hope. Selections include Handel’s Chandos Anthem No. 9; Stephen Sondheim’s Comedy Tonight from A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum; Dirait-on from Les Chansons des Roses by Morten Lauridsen; Rodgers and Hammerstein’s You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel; and Anyway by Martina McBride, Brad Warren, and Brett Warren, among many other songs.
