In the Library . . . . .Student Art DisplayedArt and books are as happy a combination as art and coffee. Alas, while the Library doesn't serve coffee, we do have a generous serving of art on display. Recently we have had the pleasure of displaying paintings by students from Parkland's Painting 1 and 2 classes (Art 201 and 202) taught by Joan Stolz in the department of Fine and Applied Arts. The students created oil paintings that are broad in subject. You'll find scenes of downtown Champaign, hanging pears, and slices of meat adorning the Library walls.
Take some time and come to the Library to admire the work. The paintings will remain on display until the end of the semester. Look for watercolors from Don Lake's students next semester. And bring your coffee — covered, of course — with you!
