Our 255-acre campus includes cultural and wellness amenities such as a theatre, art gallery, fitness center, and the Staerkel Planetarium, the second largest planetarium in Illinois, which hosts public lectures, shows, and exhibits. Parkland College also provides real-world training in student-run radio and television stations, a student newspaper, and in-house labs for media advertising and studio-music production.

ESL Assessment for Prospective Students
The TOEFL is not required for admission to Parkland College. However, to determine English-language ability:
  • Prospective students who have taken the TOEFL and scored 61 (online) or 500 (print) or higher need only to complete a writing sample.
  • Prospective students who have not taken the TOEFL will take an English language assessment upon arriving at Parkland.
