Parkland’s faculty and staff have the opportunity to travel and teach in foreign countries, and to host their foreign counterparts here in the U.S. Recent exchanges have been organized with colleges in the Netherlands, Finland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Administrators have also participated in relationship-building visits to Kenya, China, and South Africa.
The most recent development in Parkland’s growing commitment to international cooperation is our involvement with Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture, where Parkland faculty teach classes. To date 15 faculty and administrators have participated in the program, with more planning to teach in China in the future.
Other internationa initiatives include participation in CCID Troika programs in Ecuador and Denmark. Faculty and students fom Parkland's dental hygience program have also particiapted in a service learning project in India.
