Cooperative agreements
Parkland College has joint educational agreements with several Illinois community
colleges that allow their district residents to enroll in Parkland's Respiratory
Therapy program at Parkland's in-district rate. These colleges include: Danville
Area Community College, Heartland Community College, Lake Land College, and
Richland Community College. Students from those colleges may take their required
general education courses and complete their clinical requirements in their
own communities. All classroom lectures are now on interactive television for
out-of-district students.
Parkland College’s Career
Center, 217/351-2536, receives notification of local, state, and nationwide
job openings in this field and assists students in developing job search skills.
High school students may be able to take some of these courses for both high
school and college credit prior to graduating from high school. Check with your
high school counselor for further information.
Many Parkland students receive some form of financial assistance through scholarships,
grants, loans, part-time student employment, and/or veteran’s benefits.
