A state certified nursing program
Parkland's Nurse Assistant program will teach you the important skills you'll need to assist patients needing continuous care. The course may be completed in 6 to 16 weeks, depending on your schedule. Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to take the state of Illinois written competency test, which leads to state certification as a certified nurse assistant (CNA).


Entry requirements
Students must demonstrate reading proficiency by taking Parkland’s assessment test and placing into CCS 098 (Critical Comprehension Skills) or higher.

New state regulations require a live scan fingerprint test prior to registering for NAS 111. For more information about this regulation, click here.
