The Medical Assistant
Compassion and an interest in providing health services make you an excellent
candidate for a career in medical assisting. Medical assistants act as
liaisons between the physician and the patient, offering a variety of services
that include patient instruction/comfort, office administrative tasks,
and clinical duties. Supervised by an office manager, a physician, or a
department administrator, medical assistants help keep the offices and
clinics of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and ophthalmologists
running smoothly.
