Step 1: Submit an application Online
  • Complete and submit an online application.
  • Or by mail or fax
    Please type or print this application form and mail it to Admissions and Records, Parkland College, 2400 West Bradley Avenue, Champaign, IL 61821-1899 or fax it to 217/353-2640.
  • Or in person
    Stop by the Office of Admissions and Records (A167; 217/351-2208) to complete an application form.


Step 2: Wait for letter of acceptance.
You should receive a letter of acceptance to Parkland in approximately two weeks. Call the Office of Admissions and Records at 217/351-2482 if you have any questions.

Step 3: Get the forms you need from the other college dean or advisor, to see if you meet course prerequisites.
  • unofficial transcripts, advising report, or grade cards
  • University of Illinois students only: a completed and signed Concurrent Enrollment form

Step 4: Bring the forms to Admissions (A167; 217/351-2208) or email admissions@parkland.edu for further instructions.
You may need to meet with a Parkland advisor or counselor.

Step 5: Assessment - if required after meeting with advisor or counselor
Take an assessment of your skill level in course you want to take.

Step 6: Registration
You are eligible to register for classes following any necessary advising or assessment. Log on to the Parkland student portal, my.parkland.edu, to  Register for Classes.

Step 7. Pay for classes.
Call the business office at 217/351-2233 if you have any questions.

Step 8. Get your student ID in X161.
Call the Parkland Office of Student Life at 217/351-2206 if you have any questions.

Step 9. Taking classes online? Check Angel a few days before classes begin, for  pertinent details from your instructors.

Did You Know?

Parkland graphic design graduates can transfer to Illinois State University and earn a BA in graphic design? By special arrangement with ISU, you can transfer as a junior and finish your bachelor's degree in just two more years.
