A View Outside: Gallery Talk by Preston Jackson: Thursday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. Preston Jackson, who cuarated this exhibition is a Professor of Sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His gallery talk will provide insight into the work of the participating artists and how the exhibiting provide a sampling of some outstanding examples of works being created by African-American artists in our region. Participating artists: Sonja Henderson of Chicago, Lester Julian Merriweather of Memphis Tennessee, John Rozelle of Chicago, Joanne Scott of Chicago, David Standifer of Chicago, Jason Sweet of Urbana, and Bernard Williams of Chicago. This exhibit is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
