FITNESS CENTER USE

INSTRUCTIONAL LAB:
All students, including those who have previously been enrolled in instructional sections, are required to attend an orientation session during the first week of class.

All students enrolled for credit must access their student e-mail accounts for further information.

Though schedules will say class times are "TBA," the orientations will be conducted at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. (Monday through Thursday only). Please bring your Parkland I.D.

Orientation will be given by appointment only during the second week of classes. Contact the Fitness Center (217/351-2226) for an appointment.

Any student not completing an orientation by the end of week two will be dropped from the course.

Students enrolled in PEC 103 or PEC 147 may meet during any hourly session of the open lab and may use noncredit lab time for meeting required lab visits.

A physical education faculty member or professional lab monitor will be available only during the open lab hours. Student monitors only are available during noncredit lab hours.

Instructional Lab Hours:
  Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-12 noon, 1-3 p.m.
  Monday-Thursday, 6-7 p.m.

NONCREDIT LAB:
Persons wishing to use the Fitness Center without instruction or credit must enroll in NCR 850-089 - Fitness Center Use.

There is no prerequisite.
A $50 fee for one semester is charged.

Have Parkland I.D. made in room X149 (free after signing up for noncredit class).

To Work Out:
  1. Bring your Parkland I.D.
  2. Wear appropriate workout clothes and tennis shoes (no exceptions).

Noncredit Lab Hours:
  Monday-Thursday, 8-10 a.m., 12 noon-1 p.m, 3-6 p.m.
  Friday, 8-10 a.m., 12 noon-1 p.m., 3-5 p.m.

The Fitness Center is located in the lower level of the Physical Education building in P128.

No concurrent enrollment in PEC 103, PEC 147, or NCR 850 is permitted.
