Artist’s Statement
Clay has become my place of refuge. It is my place for contemplation, reaction,
and resolution. It receives my impression and then gives an impression in return.
Clay accepts the aggressive, assertive, and passive movements of my body. It
says what I have no words for. Clay reveals what I believe to be “truth;” the
balance of action and reaction, organization and interruption, calculation
and chaos.
