Surveying Technician

Surveying technicians perform construction layout surveys, topographic and
hydrographic mapping, photogrammetric surveys, engineering surveys, and property
boundary surveys, all using a high-tech array of precision instruments. The
surveying technician possesses a solid background in surveying instrument operations,
construction plan reading, computer-aided drafting, and project planning. A
thorough working knowledge of surveying methods and construction practices
round out the surveying technician’s repertoire of essential skills used
each day in the surveying industry.
