Digital Media Skills
Digital media professionals have a foundation in art, animation, and web technology and can specialize in design or development.

As a designer, you will utilize skills in art and design, animation, advanced imaging, and some programming/scripting languages to create the aesthetic and design elements of digital media. At Parkland, designers can focus on 3D Animation & Game Design or Web Design.

As a developer, you will employ skills in programming, data structures, mathematics, and design to create functional elements for digital media applications. At Parkland, developers can focus on 3D Game & Graphics Development or Web Development.

Length of study
An A.A.S. degree in Digital Media would take a full-time student about two years – longer if part-time. Digital Media certificates may be completed in two to three semesters of part-time study.

3D Computer Animation Software Certificate
Equips students with technical skills and proficiency in high-end 3D computer animation software used in feature films, video/commercial production, CAD/CAM, 3D gaming, and architectural design.

3D Software Development Certificate
Equips students with software development and programming skills to work in three-dimensional graphics software and application environments in the field of computer graphics. This is an advanced-level certificate containing courses with extensive prerequisites.
