Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.)
Minimum graduation requirement —60 semester hours
The Criminal Justice Program prepares students for employment in industry or government positions such as municipal, state, and county police agencies or the private security field.
Note: In order to complete the program, students must be able to pass criminal background checks required by agencies providing internships.
Program Notes*
• CJS 101 is a prerequisite for all CJS courses except CJS 127.
•
Students holding valid American Red Cross cards for CPR and First Aid may
substitute an appropriate elective for KIN 183.
•
Students must carry health insurance and pass a criminal
background check prior to being allowed to participate in CJS 218.
• Other approved IAI transfer science courses may be substituted for SCI 108 and/or SCI 208.
