Parkland College

Medical Laboratory Technology

Program Code: GMLT CE

The Medical Laboratory Technology program, accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), prepares students to work behind the scenes investigating and analyzing what human blood and other fluids tell us about disease and other health conditions and how the body is responding to treatment. Working in cooperation with Kankakee Community College, students may complete the general education course work at Parkland College.

Students must apply to and be accepted into the Medical Laboratory Technology program at Kankakee Community College. The MEDT courses from Kankakee will be offered in an online format, with the exception of lab work. Students meet one day a week for lab sessions.
