The Massage Therapy Certificate Program is designed to train students in basic therapeutic massage techniques, to educate them about the human body and the physiological effects of massage on the body, to prepare them for their role in the health care community, and to promote professionalism, caring, high ethical conduct, and continuing education. This program is designed for part-time students to attend during the day or evenings and weekends.

Program Notes
• This is a selective admissions program — you must be admitted into the program before taking MSG courses. Assessment into ENG 101 and college-level reading (83 or above on COMPASS) is required for admission to the program. See a counselor/advisor or the health professions recruiter to advise you through the application process.
• Students are required to keep a current healthcare provider CPR card.
• Credit/no-credit options are not available for MSG or BIO courses. Students are required to keep a 2.0 minimum GPA and a C or higher in all MSG and BIO courses. 
• BIO 111 online or hybrid courses are not accepted.
• A scoring rubric will be applied for students who have successfully completed BIO 111 with a C or higher, and will result in a higher score for students who have taken this course in advance.
