• Credit/no-credit options are not available for EMS courses. Students are required to keep current CPR certification, a 2.0 minimum GPA, C or higher in all EMS courses.
• BIO 100, BIO 101, or BIO 111 and assessment into ENG 101 and MAT 098 are required prior to taking EMT-P courses.

Minimum graduation requirement — 16-17 semester hours

The EMS-Paramedic Certificate program prepares students to practice EMT-Paramedic skills at the advanced level and take the state examination for Emergency Medical Services: Paramedic. (EMT-P). The state has mandated that all Paramedic courses be taught at the community college level.
