Selective Service Registration Status

Under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 as amended, any person required to register with selective service who fails to do so is ineligible for federal and state financial aid.

Those persons not required to register with selective service must, nevertheless, indicate why they do not have to be registered. These persons include females, persons born before 1960, armed forces personnel on active duty, persons under age 18, and permanent residents of the Trust Territory of the Northern Mariana Islands.
