Our program
Equine students in the A.A.S. program study nutrition and ration formulation, genetics, horse judging, equitation skills, breeding, stallion and brood mare management, horse health, and young stock training as well as at least eight weeks of cooperative education work experience in a local equine
farm or business. Certificate students cover the same equine study areas,
without the cooperative education experience and as many supportive courses.
Length of study
You can earn your degree in two years of full-time study or longer
if you are a part-time student. The certificate program is based on a year
of full-time study and can also be completed over a longer time period.
