High School: Champaign Central


Jordan played for Champaign Central H.S. both as a goalkeeper and as a field player. For Parkland she is exclusively a GK. She split time last year until she lost several weeks to an ankle injury. When she recovered, she resumed her role splitting time in goal making 25 saves on 32 shots with a goals against average of 1.482.

# 00/23  Kiara Hallberg

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Appleton, WI
High School: Appleton West

 

Kiara (or “Kiki”) is from Appleton Wisconsin. Throughout her high school career she was predominantly an outside mid or forward until an injury to her goalkeeper forced her to fill in at that position. She performed very well and is now primarily a Gk. At Parkland, she will compete for the starting Gk position and will likely get playing time in the field as well.


McLennand 


# 1  Micaela McLennand

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Champaign, IL
High School: Champaign Centennial

 

Micaela played for Champaign Centennial H.S. and was their starting varsity goalkeeper for three years. She started about half of our games last year and split time with another GK until an injury left Micaela as our only GK for several weeks. She had a goals against average of 1.439 last year while making 75 saves on 95 shots. With 3 GK’s this year, there will likely be an intense competition for playing time.

# 3  Kristen Karkiewicz

High School: Mahomet-Seymour


 

Kristen played for Mahomet Seymour H.S. and played outside mid and outside back for us last year scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. Her speed, strength, and ability to man to man mark are some of her strengths and will allow her to contend for a starting position at outside mid or outside back.

 


Hardimon 


# 4  Shelby Hardimon

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Monticello, IL
High School: Monticello

 

Shelby played for Monticello H.S. and was a four year letter winner. She also played for Mid-State Soccer Club. Shelby was named team captain and was voted the team’s most valuable player her senior year. She will likely play somewhere in the midfield or forward for us this year.

Hometown: Lincoln, IL
High School: Lincoln Community

 

Audra is from Lincoln and played for the Pekin Pride Soccer Club and for the Lincoln H.S. earning all conference recognition in 2010 and 2011. She is an incredibly fit and athletic player. Her athleticism ball striking abilities makes her a starting caliber outside mid.

Hometown: Colegio, Brazil
High School: Colegio Objetivo
 

 
Priscila is a Native of Brazil. At the age of 26, her experience and maturity will be a tremendous asset to the team. She is an incredibly skilled and creative player on the ball and will be a very dynamic and dangerous player for us. She will likely start at forward and contribute heavily to our attack.

 
Sharabi 


# 7  Keren Sharabi

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Petach Tikva, Israel
High School: Brener

 

Keren is originally from Israel. She played club soccer with Maccabi Peatch Tikva until she was 15 years old. At that time she was called up to the under 21 Israeli National Team. She is likely one of the most accomplished players that has ever played for Parkland. Her soccer IQ, vision, and skill on the ball will make her one of our most dangerous players. She will likely start at center mid.
 

 
 
Koerner 

# 8  Jordyn Koerner

Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Champaign, IL
High School: Champaign Central

 

Jordyn played for Champaign Central H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. She was a mainstay in the center of midfield last year and was one of our leaders. Last year she scored 2 goals and had 4 assists. This year she was selected to be a co-captain and will either play in the center of midfield or as a center back.


Musick 


# 9  Jenny Musick

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Mt. Zion, IL
High School: Mt. Zion

 


Jenny was our leading scorer 2 years ago with 17 goals in 16 games. She was likely an All-America candidate last year before sustaining a severe knee injury that cost her a majority of last year’s season after scoring 5 goals in only 3 games. Jen will likely start a majority of our games this year at forward and will be one of our most dangerous attacking players.

 
KVega 


# 10  Kim Vega

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Champaign, IL
High School: Champaign Central

 

Kim played for Central H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. She started every game for us last year as a forward and was our leading scorer with 15 goals and 7 assists. She will compete for a starting position this year again as a forward or as a midfielder. Regardless of where she plays, she will be an integral part of our offense.
 
 

 
Donley 

# 11  Kelsie Donley

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Mahomet, IL
High School: Mahomet
 
 
Kelsie played for Mahomet Seymour H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. She started every game for us last year at outside mid and then as a forward to fill in for an injured player. She scored 3 goals and led the team with 11 assists. Kelsie is probably our fittest player and possesses a long throw in that is an important weapon. She will again compete for a starting position at outside mid.
 


Hernandez 


# 13  Meagan Hernandez

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Miami, FL
High School: G. Holmes Braddock

 

Meagan is from Miami Fl. and played multiple sports (including soccer) at G Holmes Braddock Senior H.S.. Though she only played soccer her junior and senior year she started both years and was selected as team captain both years. Her senior year she was the only player on her team that played in the Dade County all star game. She played club soccer with Real Madrid Academy. Meagan will likely play fullback for us this year.
 

 
Reed 


# 15  Cierra Reed

Hometown: Danville, IL
High School: Oakwood

 

 
Cierra grew up in Oakwood playing mostly with girls until she got to Oakwood H.S. where she played for the boys team. As a result, physical play and the speed of the game doesn’t bother her. She will likely play at either outside mid or forward for us this year.

 
NVega 

 

# 17  Nashla Vega

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Champaign, IL
High School: Champaign Central

 

Nashla played for Champaign Central H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. Last year she started as a left midfielder and spent some time at left back. She is one of our only left footed players which makes her an asset on the left side of the field and on set pieces. Nashla will compete for a starting position at either left mid or left back.


Somers 


# 18  Sadie Somers

Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Normal, IL
High School: Normal U-High
 
Sadie played for Normal University H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. Last year she started every game for us as a center mid and had 11 goals and 6 assists. Her soccer IQ and her leadership on and off the field makes her one of our best leaders and earned her a selection as a co-captain this year. Her steady and consistent play makes her an incredibly important part of our midfield and for our entire team.


Miniard 


# 20  Casey Miniard

Class: Freshman
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
High School: Madeira

 

Casey is from Cincinnati Ohio where she played club soccer since she was 8 years old and played 4 years of varsity soccer at Madeira H.S.. Madeira was a dominant team while Casey was there culminating with a state championship her senior year. This kind of competitive and winning soccer will bring a positive, winning attitude to the team.
 

 
 
Torres 

# 21  Krystal Torres

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: East Moline, IL
High School: United Township

 

Krystal in from East Moline and played for United Township H.S. where she received both all conference and all Metro awards. She played club soccer for QC United, EISA Black Select, Moline United, EMSSC, to name a few. She has played in the midfield until late in her high school career where she was converted to sweeper. At Parkland she will contend for a starting position in our back line.
 
 

Eaton 

# 22  Jenna Eaton

High School: Champaign Centennial
 
 
Jenna played for Champaign Centennial H.S. and for the Little Illini Soccer Club. In high school she played as a center mid and was converted to a center back when she arrived at Parkland. She will compete for a starting position as center back and will certainly contribute heavily to our back line.
 


DeSmith 


# 24  Allison DeSmith

PROFILE  
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Atkinson, IL
High School: Geneseo

 

 
Allie played for Geneseo in high school and played outside mid for us last year and scored 3 goals. With another year of experience, she will likely play more minutes and contend for a starting position this year somewhere in the midfield.
 

 


# 26  Lorena Zaqueti

PROFILE  
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Curitibal, Brazil
High School: Sagrado

Lorena is originally from Brazil. She came to Parkland a year and a half ago but a serious knee injury forced her to return to Brazil for surgery and rehab. Now she is healthy again and is back to begin her career here at Parkland.
