Head Coach Chuck Clutts enters his 13th year at Parkland College , where his teams have compiled a record of 535-188-2 for a .734 winning percentage. The Cobras have won 6 conference and 8 regional titles in the past 12 years. Coach Clutts' teams have finished Runner-up 3 times, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th at NJCAA Nationals and have earned him eight Region 24 Coach of the Year, a District Coach of the Year and three M-WAC Coach of the year awards.

In 2007 Coach Clutts and the coaching staff were named the NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year. Parkland Softball has had 10 NJCAA All-Americans in the last nine years.
