Men's Soccer Coaches
Mark Sikora
Head Coach
The Parkland College Athletic Department has tapped into the Champaign Centennial High School coaching staff once again, this time naming Mark Sikora as the college’s new Men’s Soccer Coach. He will replace Seamus Reilly who resigned to pursue other opportunities at the college after five seasons as the Cobra Head Coach. Reilly, along with current Softball Coach Chuck Clutts, both came to Parkland after successful coaching stints at Centennial.
Sikora compiled a record of 89-17-7 as the Boy’s coach at Centennial winning five Big 12 titles, three Regional, and two Sectional titles at the school. Sikora also coached the Chargers girl soccer team achieving a record of 100-14-7. During that five year stint, his team’s won four Conference titles, and made three Elite Eight State Final appearances.
Sikora, who continue to teach at Centennial, was 8-11 in his first season at PC and is excited about the talent level of his second team. He will be reunited with four former Chargers: Zach Alumbaugh, Corey Kallembach, Adam Lewin, and Eddie Sayon on this years roster. Their are also three players each from Mahomet-Seymour and Chatham-Glenwood on the roster.
“I am very pleased to be able to get someone of Mark’s knowledge and reputation”, said Cobra Athletic Director Rod Lovett. “He did an excellent job succeeding Seamus at Centennial and I anticipate he will do the same here at Parkland.” “We will certainly miss Seamus, but Mark is also well known in the soccer community and has earned a reputation as an excellent coach and communicator.” “I look forward to Mark continuing and building on the success that the soccer program has achieved over the past 2-3 seasons.”
