Matt Kennedy

Coach Kennedy will begin his first season as the Cobras Head Baseball Coach. Kennedy comes to Parkland College from Saint Joseph’s College (NCAA D-II) where he was the top assistant for the past two seasons. Kennedy helped lead the Pumas to a 46-18 record last season.  Kennedy served as the recruiting coordinator as well as working with hitters, infielders and catchers.

Kennedy began his coaching career at his alma mater in 2004 before spending one season year at Saint Joseph’s College and then a year at Indiana State University before returning to Saint Joseph’s College in the fall of 2006.

“We are very excited to get Matt to be our head coach. When I began the search, his name came up over and over again from people I  trust in the coaching ranks. After talking with him, I knew immediately that he was the right guy for the job. He is an extremely hard worker who has experience, attitude and commitment I was looking for” states Athletic Director Rod Lovett.
