Our partnership schools offer advanced degrees that can be completed on Parkland's campus or online. Parkland has established partnership agreements with the following colleges and universities:

Eastern Illinois University at Parkland
Parkland College Room X-107 • 217/351-2543 •  www.eiu.edu/~adulted

Parkland College and Eastern Illinois University have partnered since 1989 to meet the needs of this growing population. Whether you are looking to complete a bachelor’s degree, earn a master’s degree, or just update professional skills, Eastern Illinois University offers a variety of courses on Parkland’s campus. The EIU School of Continuing Education holds classes evenings, weekends, and online.

More than 90 percent of the students working on bachelor’s or master’s degrees through EIU at Parkland College work full time. The flexibility of having evening and weekend classes appeals to many of these students. In addition, more than half of the students who receive their bachelor’s degree through the EIU School of Continuing Education’s off-campus programs go on to pursue the master’s degree.

  • Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, Christian affiliation

    Two options available:

    - Fully online

    - One night per week for 18 months on the Parkland campus.

Greenville College Opportunities in Adult Learning, or GOAL, allows working adults who have already completed a minimum of 60 semester credits to earn a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. Organizational leadership is a broad-based field of study with application in a wide range of careers and industries. The organizational leadership curriculum offers courses in communication, leadership, and the social sciences. It generally complements the strong technical skills and years of experience that adult students bring to the classroom.

GOAL provides an 18-month accelerated course of study that requires students to take one course at a time, one night a week. Classes are taught by Greenville College faculty and meet from 6 to 10 p.m. at Parkland's campus in Champaign. Champaign is one of 12 instruction sites opened since the program began on the Greenville College campus in 1995. Other GOAL instruction sites include Springfield, Decatur, Jacksonville, Godfrey, Belleville, Centralia, Effingham, Fairfield, Red Bud, and Edwardsville.

As with other bachelor’s degree programs offered through Parkland, the GOAL program may not be a good match for every adult student. It is a good choice, however, for adults needing to move into jobs requiring more authority and responsibility than their more narrowly defined technical skills and education may have prepared them for.
