  • Adult Student Open House and University Partner Fair
September 11- Held in the College Center at 10am - 2pm.

In observation of the nationwide Nontraditional Student Week, Parkland College’s Adult Re-entry Center (ARC) will host its annual Open House and Partnership University Fair Wednesday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the College Center.

ARC invites adults who are new to college or returning to college to explore associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree opportunities with representatives from ARC’s 12 partnership colleges; collect lots of information; and meet the ARC staff. Some partnership university representatives will also be available in the College Center from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

"Nontraditional" is a term commonly used to define those who attend college primarily in the evening, on weekends, online, or part-time. The Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education (ANTSHE) observes Nontraditional Student Week during the first week of November each year.

  • College Completion 101
