Parkland Update
A quarterly newsletter designed to keep you in touch with what's happening at Parkland College and with the Alumni Association. Featured in each issue will be an outstanding alumnus and a "What's New With You" alumni section. If there's something you'd like to include in the next edition, just let us know.

Events And Special Invitations
Alumni Association members will receive invitations to all Parkland College alumni events, including trips, tours, class reunions, and other exciting events. You will also have the option to participate in the Alumni Association and other college support organizations.

Career Planning & Employment Services
As an alumnus, you'll be entitled to use Parkland's Career Center services. The center's staff can assist you with job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing and other helpful job search skills. They can also help you boost your exposure by placing your resume on JobNet, an on-line database with more than 3,000 listings.

Alumni Merchandise
Alumni books, shirts, gift items, and more are available at the Parkland bookstore or the alumni office located at the Parkland College Bauman Center, 2104 West Park Court in Champaign.

Art Gallery
As an association member, you'll also receive special invitations to Parkland Art Gallery opening receptions and a free Art Gallery newsletter subscription.

Network with over 1,200 alumni members.

Parkland College Library
With your alumni ID card, you'll have borrowing privileges at the Parkland Library.

Athletic Events
Your alumni ID card also serves as a free pass to all Cobra athletic events, making it easy to support your favorite teams.

Parkland Theatre Discounts
Just mention that you're an Alumni Association member whenever you make reservations, and you'll receive the student discount on all Parkland theatre tickets.

Car Rental/Hotel Discounts
Like to travel? Through the MMS Car Rental/Hotel Discount Program, you'll receive discounts for National, Avis, Hertz, Alamo and Budget car rentals, as well as Choice Hotels International. Discounts are also available from Champaign-Urbana hotels and motels.

Scholarships
Your children and spouse are eligible to apply for scholarships offered by Parkland College and the Parkland College Foundation.
