Medical Laboratory Technology Certificate

What you’ll do:
Prepare to work behind the scenes, investigating and analyzing what human blood and other fluids tell us about disease and other health conditions and how the body responds to treatment. Parkland cooperates with Kankakee Community College to provide the general education requirements needed for the Medical Laboratory Technology certificate program; enjoy a seamless transition to KCC to complete your course work (primarily online with minimal travel to the KCC campus). The program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

Where you’ll go:
Graduates are eligible to take the national registry examination given by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and other certifying agencies. Work in hospitals, medical and diagnostic laboratories, physician’s offices, and other ambulatory care services.
